Ingredients

  • 6 tbs butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 5 cups frozen or fresh cherries
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp O’ So Good Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter softened

Instructions

  • Measure out 5 cups of frozen or fresh cherries into a sauce pan, along with the sugar and salt then heat over medium high heat until warm. Next mix the O’ So Good Balsamic with the cornstarch and add to the saucepan. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the cherry mixture slightly thickens. I like to slightly smash the cherries as they are cooking. Slice out 6 tbsp of butter into a 9×13 dish and slice up the 6 tbsp butter into it. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and put the baking dish inside the oven while it’s warming up to melt the butter. While the butter is warming, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, then add the milk and stir until combined.
  • Pull out the warmed butter dish and pour the batter into it. Next add dollops of cherry filling around the dish until full. Next make the crumble by warming the butter if not done already and add the flour and sugar. Using a fork poke and mix the crumble together making sure not to stir. You want the crumble to be mixed but not smooth. Add crumble on top of cherries and bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until the top is golden brown. Enjoy!
